Real Wedding Day Inspiration - Leslie and Michael

Happy Monday, dear readers! We are back today with this week's Real Wedding Day Inspiration couple, Leslie and Michael photographed by the uber talented Paula and Mike Luna of lunaphoto. If you haven't already, take a moment to stop by their website, it is full of gorgeous imagery. For their wedding, Leslie and Michael travelled to tropical Costa Rica and were married at the breath-taking Zephyr Palace.
Beautiful bride Leslie and and groom, Michael getting ready for their big moment
The I Do's
I love his smile! He is certainly happy becoming husband and wife
I like the idea of the simple tulips beside each place setting
the beautiful exterior of the resort
I love how the lighting bathed everything in a warm glow. Remember when we discussed how lighting plays an important role with Asmi and Ameer's wedding? Same concept, totally different look and feel.
I love how old fashioned and glamorous the first dance looks in black and white.
Equally lovely in full color.
This is why I love the family style seating. It's so much more warm and interactive than sweetheart tables. To be surrounded by family and friends...
Such a romantic sunset
Like Jung Lee of Fete said, nothing says celebration like fireworks
I LOVE how emotive this black and white image is. It has an old world quality to it that is incredible! Many thanks to Paula and Mike for sharing another fabulous wedding with us.

You spoke and I listened! By popular demand, I am bringing back my series, Friday's Escape. I am so looking forward to exploring the world one amazing luxe location at a time. If there is a resort property you'd like to submit, feel free to leave a comment. See ya on Friday!

Friday's Escape:

Happy Friday, dear readers! I hope you've had a wonderfully productive week and are ready for a little R&R. I was talking with one of my girlfriends last night and she announced we're taking a ski trip this winter. Now, let me explain, neither of us have ever been skiing but I must admit I am looking forward to it. I immediately started looking for fabulous ski resorts and came across Le Chabichou. While we may not make the trek to France this winter, this property has definitely been added to the dream list.

The famed Le Chabichou is a picturesque chalet hotel favored by royalty and the international jet set. Offering 42 blissfully comfy rooms with amazing mountain views. The chalet also boast a two-star Michelin restaurant. Did I mention there's a spa? Imagine unwinding after a day on the slopes, relaxing in the hotel’s sauna or jacuzzi.

Not sure how much skiing I'll be doing this winter but I can imagine lounging by the fireplace, sipping a gourmet hot chocolate and flirting with a cute ski instructor;)

Friday's Escape: The Ritz London

Happy Friday, dear readers! I hope you've had a productive week and are ready for a little R&R. This week we're heading to the Ritz London. What I love most about this hotel is it's old-school glamour and luxury. The hotel adheres to a strict formal dress code in all the public areas of the hotel. I can just imagine taking afternoon tea in the Palm Court. Civility at its best.
You can get a feeling for the grandness of the property even from the outside.
This room reminds of something from a 19th century novel.
The suite's sitting room
The restaurant. I wonder if cocktail attire is required here as well. I do so enjoy dressing up!
The hotel's cocktail bar. Do you see those leopard print chairs?
The famous Palm Court where reservations for afternoon tea are made up to 12 weeks in advance.

Friday's Escape: Baros Resort & Spa, Maldives

Oh dear readers, have I got something extra special for you! I don't always travel for pleasure as much as I'd like, usually it's business-related. So I started Friday's Escapes as a way to escape, if you'l pardon the pun. A momentary mindtrip if you will. This Friday's journey is nothing short of extraordinary. The Baros Resort and Spa in the Maldives is one of those places where reality falls away and you are magically transported to Nirvana. I can't think of a more romantic place for a honeymoon. Feel free to gift me a trip;)

Welcome to a rare privilege.
You are invited to relish the ethos of Baros
The essence of the Maldives.
For your vacation in serenity
Be Special
Be destined for Baros.
Baros: that elusive holiday spirit
Euphoric comfort in immaculate elegance
Compelling, delectable, congenial.
Epicurean dining, sublime spa,
sensational snorkelling, divine diving
Sandy arbours, evocative moments –
The rapture of nature, the kiss of bliss.
Baros, a place to love.
Relax: let Baros be your destiny.

Friday's Escape: Kiawah Island, South Carolina

Happy Friday, dear readers! I hope you all have had a fabulous week. This week I thought we'd keep our trip a little closer to home. If you are a golfer or love someone who is, the Kiawah Island Resort is the perfect stateside destination. What is so incredible about this place, not only is it perfect for families but it also has private residences for rent as well. Imagine waking up in a lovely beach luxury home, watching the kids play in the sand, lounging by the water reading a juicy summer romance novel, access to incredible gold courses and sunset walks along the shore. Ahhh, life is good.
