Real Wedding Day Inspiration - Shira and Jacob

Happy Monday, dear readers! I hope you had a wonderful July 4th holiday filled with family, friends, BBQs and fireworks. One of the many reasons I love weddings is the opportunity to be surrounded by love. Whether that love is expressed husband to wife, father to son, mother to daughter or the village of extended family and friends all coming together to support the bride and groom, love is the central focus of a wedding and it is something to behold. When I first saw the traditional Jewish wedding of Shira and Jacob, I felt the love surrounding these two. It's almost palpable. The photographer, Cliff Mautner, did an amazing job of capturing the emotion of this wedding. Usually, I try to edit a wedding down to 15 images or less but I couldn't bring myself to not include every detail. Mark Kingsdorf did an amazing job creating a beautiful celebratory environment in the Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia.

Shira looks amazing in this shot.

This is my favorite image from Shira and Jacob's ceremony. The couple is wrapped in a traditional Jewish prayer cloth, a tallit.
The couple spending a few quiet moments together as husband and wife.
The gorgeous Crystal Tea Room designed by Mark Kingsdorf. Love the lighting design.

I loved how Shira's veil perfectly complimented her dress.

Thanks again to Cliff Mautner for sharing such an emotive wedding.
